Business Development Manager - New York City

Cyrus Innovation uses the latest Extreme Programming/Agile methodologies to create highly customized software for our clients. We are looking for a bright, analytical thinker to join our team.

To date, Cyrus Innovation has grown its client base through word of mouth and referrals. We are looking to complement our growth strategy with a solid prospector who can produce qualified business leads for our pipeline.

As a Business Development Manager you will

  • Generate new business leads with clients in all industries
  • Utilize your current rolodex of clients in order to bring in business
  • Be part of a truly full sales cycle - generate leads, find the decision makers, set the meetings, help close the deals, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Market Agile Methodologies to prospective clients
  • Partner with our executive team to truly understand our company’s strengths and find clients that can benefit from these strengths
  • Sell consulting services that use cutting-edge technologies and methodologies
  • Proactively search for new prospects by cold calling, going to trade shows, networking
  • Continuously brainstorm and implement new ways of conquering adversity
  • Give honest, upfront feedback on limitations, pipeline status, and client needs
  • Understand and communicate well with a team of analytical, experienced programmers
  • Sell what we have and promise only what we can deliver
  • Defy archaic industry standards by advocating Continuous Integration, Paired Programming, Test Driven Development, and short iteration cycles
  • Constantly learn and implement the latest Agile practices
  • Understand what we do and determine how to leverage our services for your client’s best interests
  • Expand accounts within current client situations when applicable
  • Interact directly with clients to ensure their needs are met

Other Qualifications include

  • 5+ years of experience in selling consulting services
  • Ability to work in New York City
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
